Root Canal Treatment is often the only way to save your tooth If your tooth's nerve chamber becomes infected by decay, or damaged by trauma.

Inside the hard outer shell of each tooth is a specialized area called the pulp or nerve chamber. The pulp chamber contains a system of blood vessels, lymph vessels and nerves, the pulp, which enter from the bone through the root canals. This system provides nourishment for the cells within the tooth.

Deep tooth decay or other injury can cause damage to or infection of the tooth pulp. In a root canal or endodontic treatment, the dentist removes the damaged or infected pulp and replaces it with a special filler which helps maintain the remaining tooth structure.

Fillings Silver & White now there's a natural-looking alternative to silver-colored amalgam fillings. This material has been tested for several years and has been proven superior. When used instead of the traditional silver-colored amalgam fillings, the material provides a more attractive way to treat tooth decay, while strengthening your tooth.

Crowns
When a tooth has had root canal treatment, or when a substantial portion of the tooth structure (enamel) has been lost, a full crown may be needed. A fractured tooth, or large or old restoration with open leaky margins and decay may also call for a crown. Crowns can last for many years, but proper care and upkeep are required to maintain the health of your tooth and bone beneath the restoration.

Dentures & Partials is an alternative for replacing all or some missing teeth. The complete denture or partial denture process is one of the greatest challenges for the patient and the practitioner. Partial prostheses attach to remaining natural teeth for retention, the clasps (wires) may or may not be acceptable in appearance depending on the situation. Partials can be made with precision attachments that attach to crowns (caps). This replaces the clasps for a more esthetic appearance.

Complete dentures will replace all the teeth. Construction of complete dentures may require multiple appointments. Upper dentures tend to be tolerated better than lower dentures and adjustments should be expected with these prosthesis.

Implants. Restoration of implants is also undertaken here.

Cleanings. Dentistry has long preached that everyone should brush and floss daily and visit their dentist at least twice a year for check ups.

Periodic examination of the oral cavity is a necessity. It is nearly impossible for an individual to see inside the mouth even with a mirror and therefore problems may be present which go undetected for years. The longer a periodontal problem or a cavity is present, the larger the potential is for serious damage.

Regular professional cleanings remove the deposits of plaque and calulus from hard to reach areas like in between the teeth and below the gum line. If these deposits are not regularly removed, cavities and periodontal pockets usually result.

Periodontal Treatment. During adulthood more teeth are lost to periodontal diseases than to dental cavities. Although many diseases affect the gums and bone tissues, two are most common: Gingivitis and Periodontitis. Gingivitis is simply gum inflammation, not affecting the bone while periodontitis involves degeneration of the bone structure also. Most notably if you are experiencing bleeding from the gums, red gums, yellowish drainage between tooth and gums, swollen gums or painful gums, you may have some form of gum disease. We offer periodontal treatments (non-surgical) and have an extensive referral base of Periodontists who can provide any surgical intervention required.

Bleaching lightens stains or discoloration. It can be performed on teeth that have undergone root canal treatment and on living teeth, as well. The treatment can be done in your dentist's office or at home using custom fabricated trays and bleaching material provided by your dentist. It is very important to only use at home bleaching products under the supervision of your dentist. We also offer one hour zoom bleaching.
